I’ve been part of the brainbay team for a little over a year. The blend of real estate know-how and data expertise opens up a world of endless insights for me. Given my background in both real estate and data, I have the possibility to seamlessly intertwine these two domains in my current role.

Currently, I’m working on a project called ‘Gebouwpaspoort’, which provides brokers and valuers with a one-stop solution for all building-related information, streamlining their workflow.

Choosing brainbay was an easy decision for me. The company’s combination of real estate and data is what sets it apart. Working here is as cool as it gets in the intersection of these two worlds. Our data from Dutch brokers spans all the way back to 1985, giving us a distinct advantage in a market known for its opacity. Being close to the source data allows us to explore numerous possibilities, be it in Data Science, tools development, or market analyses.

Aside from the challenging and impactful work we do at brainbay, what really resonates with me is our collaborative work style. It’s an open and enjoyable atmosphere, providing a lot of freedom for experimentation and exploration.

I started working at brainbay on the 1^st of August 2023, which is 6 months ago in the position of Business Developer. Brainbay is on the verge of further upscaling the business. I contribute to that process by expanding the current market and tapping into any new markets with our existing product portfolio.

Working at brainbay gives me autonomy and freedom which makes it a pleasant place to work. Of course, you must be able to handle responsibility for your own work. Everyone in the office likes to work hard and is constantly working to take the company to a next level. We have a flat organization in which everyone is very approachable.

Since the founding of brainbay more than 5 years ago I join the team as a Product Owner. The connection was easily made because of my working experience at the NVM many years before.

I am responsable at brainbay for all the tools which we designed for ‘Vakgroep Wonen’ at the NVM. Tools like Inverkoopname, Prijsontwikkeling and Nieuwbouwadvies PRO. Working in an environment that require a good mix of analysis and creativity to develop data driven tools and AI-models I Enjoy. And I have a strong affection with the real estate market, best of two worlds.

A project where I worked was the development of data driven AI-tools as Inverkoopname and Prijsontwikkeling. These tools were a collaboration with NVM-members, but I also put my own experience in te real estate market to good use.

Officially I joined the Brainbay team on July 3, 2023, so I have been part of the Brainbay team for about seven months in the position of Business Analyst. I work to align business goals with technological solutions, focusing on optimizing internal data processes, tooling, and research initiatives.

Brainbay’s extensive inventory of real estate data was a compelling reason for me to join brainbay. The prospect of using this data for impactful initiatives and innovations was too intriguing to ignore! Additionally, the warm culture that prevailed during the interviews reinforced my eagerness to join brainbay.

Coming from a real estate advisory background, I’ve been able to blend my technical know-how with real estate expertise at brainbay, helping to make our tools and reports sharper and more effective.

Brainbay is a great place to work because of the atmosphere which is warm and open, like a workplace where everyone’s got each other’s backs. It’s the kind of environment where collaboration feels natural and supporting one another is ingrained!
